What is adrenal fatigue?


Adrenal fatigue is a collection of signs and symptoms, known as a syndrome, that results when the adrenal glands function below the necessary level.
What are signs and symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue?
-Feeling rundown
-Having trouble waking up
-Having trouble bouncing back from stress or illness
-Craving sweet and salty foods
-If you feel more awake late at night
-Trouble staying asleep
-High anxiety

What are some things you can do to help adrenal fatigue?

-Stop eating foods you're allergic to, or start a GAPS diet to get rid of food allergies.
-Get at LEAST 8 hours of sleep a night though it is preferred for you to get 9-10.
-Stop consuming caffeine of all kinds. Caffeine reaks havoc on the adrenals and if they are not functioning well as it is then caffeine really hurts them!
-Consume plenty of healthy fats!
-Drink salted water to help balance your sodium and potassium.
-Focus only on the most important stressors in your life. Try and avoid excess stress.
-Start meditating and learn to relax yourself in times of stress
-Start a form of gentle exercising: walking, yoga, swimming
-Find time for laughter, joy and merriment! Enjoying life is really how we become less stressed. Go have some good healthy fun!
